What Exactly Flat Panel LCD TV Is ?

When people talking about Flat Panel LCD TV, we could say that we are just talking about LCD TV, just LCD not Plasma TV. All LCD panels are all flat, they don’t have a tube like Cathode Ray Tube or CRT TV. Flat Panel LCD TV also known as LCD Flat Screen TV, LCD Panel TV, LCD Flat TV, LCD Screen TV or just LCD TV.
Although could put to same Flat Panel category, according to picture producing technology, Flat Panel LCD TV is very different comparing to Plasma TV. In Flat Panel LCD TV, picture is produced by liquid crystals sandwiched between two glass plates. Images is created by varying the amount of electrical charge applied to the crystals. Meanwhile, Plasma TV uses gas plasma that light up and create a picture when charged by precise electrical voltages.
Technology of Flat Panel LCD TV is growing very fast. Today it easy to find LCD TV set with very wide of size range and all of them have a very good picture quality. Plasma TV, in the other hand has a very good picture quality also. This day, Flat Panel LCD TV technology catches fast the Plasma’s attain position. Even though there’s not much differences in the picture quality, the blacks and gray gradation and refresh rate on Plasma is better than LCD. According to those facts, if you crazy fan of films with a lot of dark scenes such as Batman or Horror Films or fast moving object like in the sport programs, don’t go to Flat Panel LCD TV but Plasma Screen TV is the best choice.
According to the power consumption, we could say Flat Panel LCD TV is a champion. It’s very economical, don’t try to compare to CRT TV. Although if comparing to Plasma TV, Flat Panel LCD TV electrical power consume is about 30% less than Plasma Screen.
If you you wanna built a unusual home theater with a very huge screen in it, you have to consider Plasma TV because most Flat Panel LCD TV in the market place top out at around 50 inch. For larger size, the choice is very limited.
