After have reviewed many of LG, Samsung, Panasonic and Toshiba LCD and Plasma TV, I think it’s not fair if I don’t give Pioneer a chance. For my first Pioneer, I take an opportunity to review one of famous Pioneer Plasma TV, Pioneer HDTV PDP-5070HD PureVision 50-Inch. Although just has 1365 x 768 resolution, this Pioneer Plasma TV is equipped with exclusive Pioneer technology that offers something different, and it’s feel good.
Picture Quality
Pioneer Plasma HDTV PDP-5070HD PureVision 50-Inch The 50-inch come with exclusive Crystal Emissive Layer is sandwiched between the plasma glass and the individual light cells. This advanced layer is more efficientlyin power consumption so that each cell can be charged and discharged three times faster than before.
This Pioneer Plasma HDTV features Pioneer’s Advanced Continuous Emission IV (ACE IV) that works in conjunction with the Crystal Emissive Layer in the glass to reduce the visual steps between levels of color, making color transitions smoother and offers both vertical and horizontal ribs that help keep the light focused and concentrated, and prevent it from bleeding into neighboring cells. This cell structure improves panel efficiency, brightness, sharpness and images accuracy.
If we has to make a minus note of this Pioneer Plasma HDTV PDP-5070HD PureVision 50-Inch is its 1365 x 768 resolution, which means that 1080p signals via the HDMI connection will be downscaled.
